
We believe that prayer is an important part of every Christian’s life. At First United Methodist Church we strive to emphasize the importance of prayer in daily life and to promote opportunities to grow through prayer.
This is a list of persons in need of prayer who are in some way connected to our congregation. This list includes both joys and concerns. Updated monthly, anyone may add to it by contacting Pastor Gail Baldwin at gbaldwin@fumcrsvl.org or by submitting an online prayer request.
Sundays, at 6:00 p.m. (Carden Classroom) Let's Prayer Together. Everyone is welcome, hope to pray with you there.
Mondays, at 5:30 p.m. (Prayer Room: 2nd Floor) Everyone is welcome to gather in the name of Christ to pray for our church family, our community, our world, and other prayer concerns.
Prayer Shawl MinistryWednesdays, 10:00 a.m. (Fellowship Hall) Members of our church meet to knit and crochet prayer shawls while praying for those who will receive the shawls. Anyone may request a prayer shawl.Everyone is invited to join, even if you don¹t knit or crochet (they will teach you!).
7:00-7:45 a.m. (Fellowship Hall)
On the first Wednesday of every month we have a time of fellowship, food, devotional, and prayer. Volunteers provide breakfast with a small cost to participants.
The prayer chain provides immediate prayer for church members and/or their family and friends as the need arises. Once activated, it is only a short while before several people are offering prayer for those in need.
